Common Matters is about the collective experience of living together in a city, owning assets together as neighbors, and demonstrating the way that infrastructure and technology (including buildings) can extend the agency of people who decide to work, live and build together.
Exploring a future built on maintenance and collective care, the project’s foundation lies in reframing the relationships between matter and people through the investigation of a closed-loop circular economy of building materials.
In what ways does this change how we learn, think and make in the future of our cities?
